What a great day, got to Midsummers Common with plenty of time to don our NHS super hero customers ready for the Strawberry Fair Parade. As far as I am concerned the NHS are a super hero to us all, providing us with health care despite all the problems they face.In the last ten years or so I have worked with doctors and nurses helping then to understand the needs of people with learning disabilities in the health service. We led the procession right through Cambridge and back to the common with a big smile on my face. Once we got back to the common I had a quick lunch in the crew tent before putting on a high vis ready for some stewarding. I had a great time helping all the punters out with their questions, can't wait for next year. *Strawberry Fair is a Cambridge Institution.Run completely by Volunteers for the last 43 years and attracting around 30,000 people. This year I have been involved in some of the pre meets and walked around the Fair site during set up to advise on accessibility.
