Hello on one of these short closing days in December. What happened to October and November? I had a BIG BIRTHDAY party planned and wanted to see the Lady Gaga film, but I had to go back to hospital for a much longer stay. Now I am involved in some serious convalescence (or "A Good Sit Down" as Greg my P.A would say.) Whilst I was in hospital everyone was telling me that I had to get well and get back to the pub. So here I am, as the days shorten, writing my BLOG from a favourite spot in the Queen Edith pub. Now I'm out of hospital I have been making plans for the future. One of these includes a Strawberry Fair benefit gig in May. This is a new venture for me but with support from friends, family and my P.As a gig will happen. I'm sure I'll be blogging about this later. This Summer was spent moving away from my previous campaigning work around HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE and put my time into INCLUSION through music and events. This started with a new venture at the Cambridge Folk Festival... it meant awarding an up and coming band a prize and hopefully they'll be able to play at the benefit gig. I spent a lot of time with my P.As watching YouTube videos of the acts, and speaking to the artists and attending their live shows. You can read about it here... Cambridge Folk Festival Award Late this Summer we put together an entry for the Dimensions Learning Disability Leader Awards. I didn't win but here is my entry film... This will probably be my last blog entry for 2018, so let's catch up next year!
